Gemma is an experienced clinical psychologist who works with adults and older adolescents. She works with individuals experiencing challenges coping with stressful life events and transitions, anxiety, depressed mood, emotion regulation difficulties, and problems in their relationships or family. She draws on a range of treatments including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy approaches.
Gemma has extensive experience working with individuals who have faced adversity in their life and who often find it hard to think and talk about their feelings. Her approach is responsive to the needs of the individual, as she collaborates with them to develop a deeper understanding of themself and their concerns. Gemma works with a broad range of clients and has experience working with gender and sexually diverse individuals and values the opportunity to support members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
